In 1977 Walter Landor, founder of Landor Associates, was interviewed by a journalist from KPIX (CBS) for the television show Evening Magazine. Sitting on the deck of the Klamath ferryboat (former headquarters of Landor Associates), with the San Francisco Bay in the background, Walter talks about the art of branding, working with clients, and even a little about himself. This historic video captures the magic of the man and provides a glimpse inside one of the most unusual office settings around.

Dr. Peter H. Diamandis is the Chairman and CEO of the X PRIZE Foundation, and co-Founder and Chairman of the Singularity University, a Silicon Valley based institution partnered with NASA, Google, Autodesk and Nokia. Dr. Diamandis attended MIT, where he received his degrees in molecular genetics and aerospace engineering, as well as Harvard Medical School where he received his M.D.

Some tracks just grab you from the moment of the first note, and others take awhile to warm up like an old oven. This happens to be a case of the latter. I wasn’t really get grabed by this track until I recently saw the video for it, which compelled me to watch/listen to this track for it’s entirety. There have been a few tracks that have been “slow burners” for me this year and typically, they up being my favorites. Now I get to add this track to said list.

Songs for Iris is a talented folk-indie-pop band from Copenhagen, Denmark. They focus on the vocal harmonies and the acoustic feel. Mads Nyland and Heidi Mattsson sing and play the guitar and Jacob Vase sings and plays percussion.

Those monochrome icons look particularly at home within on the black iPhone 4 body. I absolutely and positively believe this is a huge improvement over the existing iOS theme and would like to slap anyone in the face if they think otherwise.

Quite interesting to know that many famous Landmark buildings from around the world feature the building in their logo. Some which I particular like are: Burj Al Arab, Brid’s Nest, Sydney Opera house, Summer Palace, and the retro looking pearl tower from Shanghai.
